Shalom! We’ve reached the seventh Hebrew month, which also marks a full cycle of videos that I’ve completed on the new moons. I pray this month for you is a great blessing, doubly fruitful, and full of joy as you celebrate the appointed times with the King. L’shanah tovah! May you be inscribed for a good and sweet new year in 5780.
Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. Mat. 10:16 (NASB)
In my women’s Bible study last night, several recommended watching the documentary “Sheep Among Wolves Volume II” produced by Frontier Alliance International (FAI) Studios. Hopefully, you’ve already had the opportunity to watch it as many have recently been sharing it in their Facebook feeds. The film features many stories from the fastest growing and largest church in the world. Where is this church? In one of the most unexpected places: IRAN.
In one of the Islam’s strongholds, the Gospel is spreading like wildfire in an unprecedented underground movement that is led mostly by women. Yeshua cuts right to the heart, dividing asunder the joints and marrow of wicked minds, regimes, and hierarchies. In a place where women are owned, raped, beaten, and oppressed by Islamic patriarchy, the Holy Spirit is moving powerfully to liberate the souls of men and women to serve Him boldly in the midst of the enemy’s territory.
Can you imagine this?! These women lead, minister, love, and serve the underground church in Iran, one of the most dangerous places in the world for a Christian. They are the epitome of an eshet chayil! How lovely are their feet that proclaim the Good News!
And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. (Rev. 12:11)
The Ruach HaKodesh and the Word are also teaching these Iranians to love Israel and the Jewish people. The emunah (faith) of this underground church is profound, shaming the lazy, apathetic assemblies in the west. Their example of discipleship and obedience is refreshing and far more fruitful than our institutionalized versions. Yeshua is truly life to these precious brothers and sisters.
In preparation for Elul and the Women of Valor conference last weekend, I delivered a message called “The Perfect Bond of Unity.” That message was both audio and video recorded, and I will share them soon on Grace in Torah. But today, I had the pleasure of joining Dr. Deb Wiley Gold and Miriam Stalsworth on their Hebrew Nation Radio program: Faith in Focus. We discussed the month of Elul and the perfect bond of unity and had a lively discussion.
