Chanukah: Spirit & Truth

© חיה שרה פיירמן | Dreamstime.com

This year, as we prepare for the Festival of Lights, I am sharing two different devotionals that you and your family can use. In my local fellowship, two of us developed a devotional. One is themed around the Spirit – developing the fruit of the Spirit during the eight nights, and the other is themed around the history and prophecy or “truth” of Chanukah. You are welcome to save and/or print these for your personal use. They can be used together, or pick the one you believe the LORD would prefer you focus on this year and save the other one for next year. 😊 I have also linked to a past post on Chanukah that offers a more in-depth study for the eight nights.

With so few beacons of light who remain grounded in the Word, you are needed to shine brightly in these dark, confused, and troubled times. This retreat is designed to polish your skills, put practical tools in your ministry toolbox, and provide networking with those of like kind and like mind. You do not need to be a Creation Gospel trainer or congregational leader to attend these sessions, but CG trainer testing will be offered to those who are interested and prepared.

We will be staying at Greystone Pointe Lodge in Gatlinburg, TN. This large cabin sits high above Gatlinburg with absolutely amazing views of the mountains and downtown Gatlinburg. It boasts of over 11,000 square feet, with two hot tubs, two large private decks, two 1,100 square foot gathering rooms – one on each level, a 25 seat theater room, and plenty of spaces to relax or fellowship with fellow attendees. All of the bedrooms are large with ensuite bathrooms. Both back decks have fire places to keep you cozy while gazing at the majestic Smoky Mountains. Check out photos of the venue here.

 Your registration is all inclusive!

We have worked hard to keep our all inclusive registration fees at a minimum despite rising hotel and food expenses. For around a a hundred dollars a night, our guests will receive a three night stay, teaching/training, CG testing (if applicable), retreat activities with giveaways, and eight biblically clean meals that will meet most dietary needs.*

Cheshvan Rewind

© Kisha Gallagher

The new moon of the eighth month is upon us, so in preparing I was going through my notes and files for Cheshvan. The following recording is from 2019 or the year 5780. This is from a local gathering of women. I hope you enjoy it. May your fall/winter months be blessed with the rains from heaven.

The painting is oil on canvas. I painted it to memorialize all the women who come together to celebrate the new moon, renewal, new birth, and the new life. I tried to put every hair color in her strands and a mixture of skin tones on her skin to represent the many tribes, nations, and tongues that exist in the Body of Messiah.

“The Lord gives the word—a great company of women proclaims the good news.” (Psalm 68:12 TLV – verse 11 in most English translations)

Women of Valor 2024 – Preparation for Elul

We just had a wonderful, intimate Women of Valor gathering on the weekend before Elul, the month of introspection. Thank you, Jane Messersmith and all the volunteers who served us so valiantly! While the sessions were not professionally recorded, I used my phone to record my sessions. May Adonai speak tenderly to you in the field of your life, work, and ministries as you seek to be reconciled with Him and your brothers and sisters before the High Holy Days.

Should Be: Psalm 139:24

Counsel for Your Badness: A Greater Resurrection at Rosh Hashanah
