Just got back from visiting my dad and uncle and was so excited to see the new month was uploaded. 😀👏

This video has so much to ponder and meditate on. I know this is a right now word for my husband and me. Thank you for explaining Tammuz, and I especially enjoyed the portion on Leah and her firstborn, Ruben. You are such a blessing! May these videos go forth and bring change So we can grow up into maturity and oneness!

I really enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for sharing your heart about it. I do have a question and hope you can shed light about the zodiac signs. I have been under the impression that this would be considered under the category of horoscopes, etc. and that that would be wrong. Can you please share your insight on this subject? Also, I really know nothing about Rosh Chodesh and what it is and how we are to observe it. Maybe you have previous videos about these subjects? I am pretty new to all of this but feel led to ask you so as to learn more.

    Thanks for your time! Diana

    • Hi Diana,

Thanks for taking the time to comment! You might want to look at my menu heading labeled “New Moon” to learn more about Rosh Chodesh. You have a great question, and a very serious one to consider if we serve the God of the Bible. Astrology is indeed a perversion, and should be avoided. However, Biblical astronomy, and the constellations in particular, were created for a godly purpose that does not involve divination.

I don’t have a video or article solely about the mazzarot (constellations – zodiac), but I do briefly discuss their significance in my book about celebrating the new moon. This book is meant for beginners, so it should be helpful. Sometimes I bring the purpose of the constellations up when I teach about the new moon in general, but my videos are definitely more advanced information. However, I’ll summarize the basics of why I mention the zodiac signs below.

Merriam Webster defines astrology as “the divination of the supposed influences of the stars and planets on human affairs and terrestrial events by their positions and aspects.” I do not seek to divine answers about my personal life or anyone else’s when I mention the monthly constellations. I also do not believe the mazzerot were given as a forecast of one’s personal future, which is the definition of a horoscope. I believe these things are a perversion of their God given purpose. BUT, if there is a perversion or a counterfeit, then there is also a very real and true purpose for the stars and their circuit. King David says this about the celestial bodies:

Ps. 19:1-4 (NKJV) To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.  2  Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.  3  There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard.  4  Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world…

The heavens declare the glory of God. They utter (a wordless) speech every night that reveals knowledge, and ALL the earth “hears” their voice. Their line or path is the ecliptic line that the sun, moon, and the twelve primary constellations faithfully follow every day and night. The problem is that fallen man looks to these heavenly, celestial bodies and worships or serves the creation rather than their Creator.

A question I often ask people is. “What do you suppose their message to world is? It’s been the same message since the beginning.” They proclaim the everlasting Gospel (Rev. 14:6); they declare the Good News to a dark world! Their only influence on a person should be to point them to the Gospel and wondrous glory of God. They weren’t created to tell a person when to buy a car or when to find love, etc. The former exalts God; the latter perversion only exalts self.

There are many great books written about the Gospel in the stars. Here a few for you to consider: The Heavens Declare: Jesus Christ Prophesied in the Stars by William D. Banks, Mazzaroth: Or, the Constellations by Frances Rolleston, The Witness of the Stars by E. W. Bullinger, The Gospel in the Stars by Joseph A. Seiss, God’s Voice in the Stars: Zodiac Signs and Bible Truth by Ken Fleming, and Mystery of the Mazzaroth: Prophecy in the Constellations by Tim Warner. All of these titles can found at Amazon.com

      I hope this helps!
      Shalom,
      Kisha
